The Original Lady Gaga

So, i went to a dress up party on Friday night at the Willowvale and before i left my friend's mom told me i looked like Grace Jones in James Bond. I had no idea who she was so i decided to look her up. I'm amazed that a woman like this exists and i didn't know about her. Oh by the way i was wearing a black body suit and a black ninja/taliban headscarf with biker boots

South Africa Stepping It Up

I am becoming completely revived by these designs by Cleo Droomer. It gives me hope that South African Fashion is as good as anywhere else in the worls and should not be compared because it is incomparable. I love that these designs are totally original, unyet fully wearable. The quality and minimalist detail shows absolute passion for the job. kudos to you Mr. Droomer

Vintage YSL

Drawing Inspiration from the masculine silhouttes of Yves Saint Laurent. I can't really do his designs and his vision any justice so that's all I'm going to say

I have been inspired.

Patterns, thats all i want. patterns with beautiful plain, timeless accessories

Miu Miu Is Where It's At

Absolutely loving Miu Miu clogs and stacked heels at the moment. for defs.
I am quite officially besotted with Miu Miu. The femininity of all the pieces is beautiful yet also edgy, its like it's never been donr before. I love the way that she uses one continuous pattern through out, it is so enjoyable for the eye. well definitely mine.

Memories of a by-gone era

The 'new length'skirt has really won me over this spring. i am in love with it, i feel like a world war one nurse or housewife or something. I undoubtedly think that it is so much sexier than a mini skirt. its sophisticated ans shows confidence; that your comfortable enough with yourself to step out in something different. i salute it with curlers in my hair

On the straight and narrow dears

Leopard Print. Always gets the men excited. Ice skating boots, i love these. i took the blades off. I've written about them before. They were my mom's and they have character. The black high waisted skirt is made out of wool, its actually a jersey thing that im wearing as a skirt. Then a light blue and white striped top from ;NO! DON'T GO! its my mom's again.

Brogues anyone. There's nothing better than a good clean, reliable pair of brogues. according to me. you can pretty much wear them with ANYTHING! anything i tell you. This shirt, its extremely shiny and extremely shoulder padded. My parents love it. i think it reminds them of their youth.(?) i dunno. i SERIOUSLY ENJOY THIS SKIRT. its like an 80s revival but better. more REVIVED.

It really irritates me that these pictures get so blurry when they're uploaded. Floral print, once again. With this look i like that the floral print isn;t too girly and romantic, its darker and more more. It's worn with a tuxedo-type long sleeved t-shirt. Grey socks (courtesy of my darling dad) and silver sandals which I've had for years now but haven't been fit to wear. they weren't 'in'.

My dressing seems to be heading down the straight and narrow. i mean, look at me. It's like i should be uttering the words ' un peu d'air sur terre' and levitating in a Lacoste advert. but oh well it makes me look legit, wouldn't you say so? What with the navy and white stripes; soft pencil skirt and silver and black brogues.

These Pants- I love 'em. WE LOVIN', THAT'S WHY WE MAKE THE CIRCLE BEEGA BEEGA. that's for nicole de castro just cause she's so nice and pretty and we make the circle beega beega. I'm not one for the new floral and romance look that Chanel embodies. For me my style is like a spring of fresh crisp water, it comes out of me the way it is no matter how much i try to dress accordingly or follow the fashions, i can't. My style is normally very lady gaga. but when i found these pants and this bra top i was like, 'no way'. im being so 'romantic'. Oh, and the shoes. so very girly. I'm evolving. my mom will be proud:)

I love this photo. i love the energy captured in all of our faces and the casualness of what each of us are wearing. The photo was taken by Amy K who i think was sitting on the ground at the time and trying to get all of us in at the same time.
Ah, Richard and I pretending we are being photographed for ITALIAN VOGUE at the Beach fun fair by the fan park, i miss the world cup. there were so many foreign men to look at. i am a believer in Denim on Denim

Soldier on

These two first photos are from a gig in Umbilo, All Ages. I was kinda just experimenting with the Pentax 'cause i didn't know how the photos would turn out but i love how they've turned out. I especiall love the colours in the top photo and the composition. He's framed so perfectly.
The above photo is off the guy from Carboot Vendors, the light in this photo i think is amazing, its so exciting.

It's getting warmer, the sun's shining so i put this outfit on and i felt like it could almost be summer soon. it gave me hope atleast:)
